A Beautiful, sunny day in Belfast!!!!

  

 
Lesley, Garth (soon to be Mr and Mrs) and I went to the Botanic gardens for a picnic today as the weather was too good to miss the opportunity to bask in the sun.

Here are some pics of the 3 of us soaking up the rays....by the way the temperature was only about 15 degrees!!!!I have really turned into a European as no ways last year would I have been so brave as to be out in this kind of weather in three quater pants and a t-shirt!!!! How you adapt to your environment is amazing!!!! 

WHEN IN ROME......

We were extremely fortunate to spend the Easter week-end in the ancient city of ROME .

We arrived on Good Friday
and promptly changed
into summer gear as
the weather
was superb!!!

Our travels began with a bus tour of the major sites of the city and then we proceeded to tackle them on foot.

We met our SA friends ,Cornelius & Mabet, in Rome and hired an apartment in the city.

Some of the sites included: The Trevi Fountain,The Spanish Steps, The Colleseum, Pantheon, St. Peters Bascillica and many more.

What a privelage it was to be in such a holy city at Easter, a wonderful experience indeed!!! 

PLATE WINNERS CELEBRATING IN STYLE.....

This Saturday 8th April, our hockey team, Belfast Harlequins, won the plate division of our local Ulster competition.

It was a cracker of a game which we finally won (in literally the last minute) 5-4!!!!!

We celebrated with champagne afterwards and then enjoyed a meal at a local club/pub called Irene and Nans in the city centre.

A good day and night for all.........
